After years of “are they or aren’t they” drama, it seems like Scott Disick may have a chance at winning back Kourtney Kardashian now that she’s single again. The reality star’s ex-girlfriend recently broke things off with Younes Bendjima after almost two years of dating. Is this Scott’s time to get back with his baby mama?
It turns out that after all that relationship drama, Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian are happy just the way they are — at least, for now. Though Kourtney is back on the market, sources say that Scott isn’t trying to break up with his current girlfriend, Sofia Richie, in order to pursue the reality TV star.
A source told Us Weekly, “Nothing with Scott is rumored or even remotely on the horizon at all, so while people will inevitably try to spin it and say he’ll try and get back with her, they aren’t going to.”
“He and Sofia are happy where they are now and they’re simply doing their own thing, and Scott and Kourtney are co-parenting their kids as they have been with great success,” the insider continued. “Scott will always love and be there for Kourtney and is just happy that they are on good terms for the sake of their kids. He has Sofia and doesn’t want to be bothered with any drama.”
The pair share three children — 8-year-old Mason, 6-year-old Penelope, and 3-year-old Reign.
Last month, Kourtney’s famous mom, Kris Jenner, opened up about the possibility of a reunion between the former couple.
“I don’t think that anybody can ever predict what’s going to happen with this family, so I’ve learned long ago to not really make my judgment on the different couple relationships when there’s a rift, especially with Scott, because Scott’s like my family,” the momager told Us Weekly.
The 62-year-old matriarch said that Scott was basically a seventh child to her.
“I love him very much. I feel like he’s my son, and he’s been around for going on 13 years, I think, and he’s the father of my grandchildren, so with us it’s like he’s family,” she said. “So I look at it much differently from the inside than somebody might look at it from the outside.”
Kris added that at the end of the day, what matters is that the pair are amazing parents to their three children.
“I think from the outside, there is this shift because they’re co-parenting these beautiful kids, and everybody really does get along, and the kids are happy. And all I really care about is that the kids are happy,” she said.
Kris continued, “I want happiness for my children, of course, but my grandkids, it’s really important that they stay really happy and grounded and they understand what’s going on in this transition, and I think everybody’s doing OK.”
However, Scott himself said that the door isn’t quite closed on his relationship with Kourtney. On a recent episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Scott opened up about the possibility of marrying his baby mama when Khloé Kardashian flat out asked him if he and Kourtney would ever get back together.
“We always said we would try to get back together when we were like 40. So she’s got a couple years,” Scott casually replied. “I mean, I’m much younger, I’m like, early 30s. She’s pushing 40.”
On the same episode, Scott — who has been relatively private on the show about his new relationship of Sofia — ended up gushing over his 19-year old girlfriend. He told the cameras, “Honestly, things are going pretty well lately. This is the first time I’ve ever been with anybody other than Kourtney so it’s definitely different but it’s been a really good thing for me.”
He added that he sometimes felt “guilty” for moving on from his baby mama.
“I mean, it’s definitely like the first girl I’ve ever been with other than Kourtney that was like a real relationship,” he said. “One part of me is really happy that I’m able to care about someone again, but there always is some feeling in the back of me that feels guilty because I’m moving on from Kourtney, do you know what I mean?”
Of course, many fans seem to think that despite Scott’s comments, it’s only a matter of time until he and Kourtney are together again.
The May-December romance between Scott and Sofia has been off-putting for many — as some fans have pointed out, Sofia is actually closer in age to Scott’s oldest son than she is to Scott himself.
As far as Kourtney’s love life goes, it seems like she’s happy to be single again. She had been dating Younes Bendjima, but things quickly turned sour after they returned from a romantic getaway last month.
“It didn’t end well. As soon as their long European vacation was over, they started having problems,” an insider revealed to People. “Younes was in L.A. recently, and things were not great. He and Kourtney didn’t get along.”
The source added, “They decided to take a break, but were not officially over. Now with the pictures of Younes in Mexico, they are definitely not getting back together.”
The photos in question showed the 25-year-old looking pretty friendly with another woman — identified as Jordan Ozuna — on the beach. Though both Younes and Jordan have since denied that they did anything inappropriate, the damage was done.
Jordan flat out told E! News that she was not involved with the model.
“Younes and I are not involved romantically at all. We were both invited to Mexico for a mutual friend’s birthday party with 13 other people,” she informed the publication. “It was nothing more than friends having fun at the beach. No, we aren’t romantically involved in any way, shape or form.”
Of course, that’s not what one eyewitness said. According to a source, the pair were “together alone” and “kissing all night” while they were out and about in Cancun, Mexico.
Though he’s normally pretty private, Younes also wasn’t thrilled with the recent allegations and took to Instagram to complain about it.
On his Instagram Story, he wrote, “They really want me to be the bad guy. F**k your Hollywood bulls**t, can’t have fun with your friends no more.” He went on to point out that several other people were at the party, and that the paparazzi chose not to share the shots.
He added, “I’m not attached to this ‘life’ so you can’t touch me. I know who I am where I’m from and where I’m going and that bothers you. Only one opinion matter the one of my Lord. Have a wonderful day.”
Despite his denial, Khloé and Kim Kardashian weren’t putting up with it. The pair didn’t waste any time in throwing some serious shade, obviously all in the name of defending Kourtney’s honor.
When The Shade Room shared Younes’ denial, Kim commented, “Nice pics from your ‘boys trip,’” along with the Pinocchio emoji.
“Alexa, play ‘heard it all before’ by Sunshine Anderson,’” Khloé added.
Of course, considering Khloé’s situation with Tristan Thompson, fans were pretty quick to call out the Good American designer.
“Hope it plays loud enough that you can hear it,” one follower replied.
Another fan commented, “where was this energy during your third trimester?”
Tristan was accused of cheating on Khloé throughout her pregnancy. The allegations came out just days before the Revenge Body host gave birth to their daughter, True Thompson, this spring. At the time, the family rushed to be by the new mom’s side.
So when allegations of Younes cheating on Kourtney surfaced, it was not surprising that Kim and Khloé rushed to their sister’s defense — even if they had been previously fighting.
As seen on a recent episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim called Kourtney the “least exciting to look at,” while the eldest sister shot back by referring to the KKW Beauty founder as an “evil human being.”
Tensions were obviously still high just a few days ago when Kourtney tweeted out, “We all have our own priorities. Mine is being a mother.”
Kim quickly shot back, “And mine is not? The shoot was with our kids!!!!! My #1 priority is being a mother as well and I can work too, so can you!”
Kourtney wasn’t afraid to defend herself, tweeting back, “And i do. But i wasn’t wanting MORE work, i already felt spread thin. Being a good mother also has different meaning to each of us. You’re an amazing mother, I’m not taking that away from you.”
Khloé got involved when she tweeted, “I just wanted peace.” Kourtney almost immediately replied, “[Khloé] let’s be honest here.”
The new mom fired back in a series of tweets, “Hey [Kourtney] are you watching the same episode I am??? Do you think I was picking on you? I was genuinely concerned about your happiness. Stop looping me into your drama with Kim! Don’t ever tweet me that s**t again!”
At the end of the day, the siblings obviously still care about each other.
“We’re ride or die. But i don’t accept the way we criticize and judge each other anymore,” Kourtney tweeted about their online and real-life fight. “My personal growth doesn’t allow it.”
